The final post.

This is the last entry of Bata-kun no Atarashii Nikki. I don’t plan on deleting this site. I do plan on deleting some entries or editing some of them, the short and not so bright ones, and keep the good posts. Maybe. I plan on fixing the site overall. Actually, Maestro should have the final say.

For now, enjoy the final entry if you can. It’s long. That’s all I can say.

Originally, I planned to close this site next week, but I felt that now is the best time to do so because I just wanted to finish the closing quickly. I thought this site was going to be the one site to go to. Was I so wrong?

Every English site I have created never got attention. They’re now long forgotten. It’s not like I pretended that my sites never existed. Alright, I did, but that was rare. Even then, not many people went to my sites.

There is no point of having myself create another English silly site. In fact, I don’t think my typing style suits western people anymore. Did my typing style even suit western people to begin with? It’s not like I know. In fact, I don’t think I will ever know.

Now these days, the only site I care about is my constantly rebuilding Japanese one. Right now, it’s still in a frozen state, but that’s because later in the month (or next month), I will buy my own site and after that along with the move, it will explode with a good amount of materials. I am loving this new site so far.

To those who still have the name Bata-kun on the links, if you can, make sure that you use the name right. That is, if it has a different name, use that name instead. I think I know one or two sites like this. Sorry if that sounded rude, but I wanted the name placement done the right way.

I don’t know why, but I am watching way less anime than when I was younger. It’s not that I don’t want to buy them. It’s that time is a big factor. There’s the family DVD player, but I rarely use it because the family uses it. I do have a DVD player myself, but guess what? It’s R2, not R1.

Despite the fact that manga is the total opposite, guess what. I have to thank the library. Jeff uses the library for anime. I use it for manga.

It’s hard being a game fan during these times. Sega does not have a console this time around. A lot of companies are closing down. I have my DS, but it can’t get all of the attention now. “Soul Calibur IV”? Give me “Toushinden V”. (I bet it’ll be horrid too though.) Anyone want to donate a PC-FX with games to me?

Wow. I have lots of hate. I guess I am good at hating things. Of course, I know people that are way better than me at it. Ha ha ha!

I must be one of the slowest people now. I was slow to catch that one idol fever. I am also slow to know that the Yamadera and Aoyama couples broke up. (I am probably better off not knowing why.) I tried “Arcana Heart” in Arcade Infinity right after the PS2 release. Yeah, I am as slow as a turtle.

I’ve been doing a lot of planning this year, a task I never did well with last year. Also, I’m becoming more aggressive with my schedule, another task I never did well with last year. Granted, I still am making the mistakes of sleeping late and buying a lot of things, but I’m cutting down my list of bad habits and I’m trying my best to get rid of them.

I wish people these days would appreciate more of the old stuff. I admit that I never finished a lot of series like “Marmalade Boy” and I never played a lot of the Japan-only Famicom games, but I still respect my history overall. Without my history, I wouldn’t see the entertainment in front of me now.

I don’t know why, but as of late, I’ve been looking into old sites. I guess I have to blame the fact that “Justice Gakuen” turned 10 last month. Oh and I’m starting to play it more and more. I want to redo my created characters so bad.

I want to wish the usual bloggers the very best. Much respect especially goes to Jeff, Omo, Zepy, Momo (even though there is the lack of updates these days), the bloggers at That Anime Blog, and those I have missed. I know I have missed a lot of people. I’m sorry. Forgive me.

This is the end. I join people like Chika-san in regards of being known by some people and not being heard from again. Thank you for reading.

The End is Near.

I am aware that site hasn’t been updated in a while and that the site is a year old. Guess what? Those don’t matter anymore.

In a month, I will close down the site. What this means is that I will no longer have an individual blog under this name pretty much. If I use this name in a blog again, it’ll only be for a group blog.

Before I forget, I do have a temporary site, but that site is in Japanese only. It isn’t my Mixi one seeing that it really feels weird to have one in the long run. If you’re interested, give me an e-mail (bata_kun atto animetheme dotto kon if you forgot) and I’ll give you the address for the time being. Also, give me an e-mail if you want to see my serious site, though I just moved it recently.

Right now, it’s late. I’m going to place up a long entry like the last entry of one of Tim’s old blogs the day this site closes. I don’t know.

Until then, enjoy your holidays.

Long Explanation

I haven’t updated this site in like almost 2 months and I have very good reasons why. Some time before my last post if I recall, I was asked by the head of J-Pop Express to be a serious editorial person for the site. I accepted because the blog needed some serious help.

I bet you’re thinking, “Hey! You’re not there”! That’s where you’re wrong. I am there, but I adopted a new name. The reason why I got a new nickname was that right after my birthday, I had decided that should I get a serious position, I would no longer use my usual name. I am not getting younger anymore and I am at that point in which I can’t be what was back when I was only 18 or 19 forever.

So, “Where are those two new sites?” you ask. They’re not the ones I initially thought of. One isn’t ready, but it’s because it’s a Mixi page. (Yes, I have a Mixi page.) Say what you will. Mixi is a powerful site. The other site happens to be my professional site.

You will say that it looks the same. It’s bland and it’s in the same background color. Despite those two bits I’ve said, it’s not even like the sites I have created. Why? For sites like this one, I can pretty much place up any site I want. For my professional site, I can’t list any fan sites at all unless it has quite a reputation. When I report news bits, I can’t make witty comments in the section, but in the diary only. I spell Koshiro Yuuzou-san’s name just like how I have done so. I don’t do it for the pro site.

The pro site is quite an interesting project for me. It taught me to be more disciplined. The site shows that I’m not the same person I was three years ago. The new methods make the site flow better. I can’t do tasks that I’d normally do here, but that doesn’t matter.

Somehow, I got an e-mail from someone in Japan saying that the person found my site through Google with the words “Quiz Magic Academy”. Obviously, people out west visit sites from people in Japan. It’s quite rare from someone in Japan to visit a westerner’s site mainly because some don’t have polished up English. That’s what got me over here again.

While this means that the site will not die off, this doesn’t mean that the site will get a lot of attention. I mean, look at Clamp. I am like Clamp. I don’t have much time to do various fan works anymore. Also, you have to consider that I’m not getting younger as I have mentioned already. At most, the site will be updated three times a month from now on.

I am glad people still call me Bata-kun, but you have to remember that these days, I don’t go by that name as much as I used to. I should mention this. My pro site will never list my Mixi page or even this page for that matter. So, that tells you how serious I am with that site. As much as I want to work on this site some more, I don’t have the time anymore. If I had a clone, that’d be terrific.

About that “job”, I am at that point in which I call it, “My mom’s wish”. I don’t call it a job anymore. I just call it, “My mom’s wish”. I don’t even bother mentioning this wish at my pro site because there’s no need for me to metion it. For sure, without any delays, I will stop the wish on my birthday at the latest.

I am off. I might as well give my best wishes to Neya Michiko-san. Also, I better say this. Hajimemashite! Boku wa Bata-kun soshite kore wa Bata-kun no Atarashii Nikki. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu.
