始めまして?僕、あ、私(わたくし)はドン・ウマリだけど私もバタくんです。よろしくおねがいします。ごめんなさい。主として「ぼく」いいますだけどちょっと失礼でした、ね?

How do you do? Boku, ah, watakushi/I am Don Umali, but I’m also Bata-kun. I’m pleased to meet you. Sorry. I mainly say “boku”, but that was a bit rude now, ne?

Ack! Forgot that not all of us are able to speak Japanese, but anyway, where do I begin? I quitted college for quite a while now; I jump from job to job, but I really want to start a game company. My best subject was physical education and science was my worst subject. Up to this point, I’ve completed half a year of Japanese or a full year, depending on what system you’re under.

I hate people taking my stuff, especially my clothes. I also don’t like people holding back in games because I would think that the person does not know how to play the game. There are times I don’t like people buttering me up. I don’t like people touching me. It’s mainly because I had a real tough life to live through and a person touching me makes my flow distracted for the lack of a better word.

Wow! I sure hate a lot of stuff, huh? The one thing I am scared of the most is messing up in life and that will take a while to explain. Oh and I can be hydrophobic.

I have a hard time getting up in mornings. Every morning, I would try to get up, but I have a force saying that I want to go back to sleep. It’s a hard battle every single day. Now these days, when I think about games, I fall back on the old times and don’t think about the new times. Well, somewhat. I mean, I report on the latest news bits after all.

In regards of Japanese animation and comics, I was aware of various series like “Sailor Moon”, but I did not really become a fan until my junior year in high school when I saw series like “Ranma”, “Tenchi” and “Eva”. Since then, I blossomed at a quick rate watching and read a lot of series. As for clubs, I was the alternative officer back in high school and I have been in two anime clubs in college.

Bata-kun no Atarashii Nikki’s creation date: 2006/12/20 as I stated earlier. I created this site because for some reason, I felt that I need a secondary diary. I am probably the only person you will ever meet who still says the word “diary”, as people these days say “blog”. It’s not that I don’t like the word “blog”. It’s that I’m used to saying the word “diary” and people like Akamatsu Ken-san still use the word “diary” on their personal sites.

I better mention the important statements. This site, which has the requirement of you having your computer the ability to display kanji and kana, is one of those news bit sites/rant sites. It’ll probably be one of the most bland looking sites you’ve seen in terms of design, but it’ll have lots of information and to be honest, I might end up making the site simple because I’m an html person and I’m all about being simple.

You will rarely see a spelling error or a grammar error on this site and if I do spot one of those errors, I’ll take care of it quickly. That’s because I used to work with fan subs in regards of editing as well as translating (though my Japanese is starting to weaken a bit now just because I’m learning a bunch of languages) and I used to be a video game guide editor. That’s how I am.

I’m guessing that around 90% of the entries I bring out here will relate to anime, manga, yuugi, ongaku, eiga, dorama, seiyuu or something else in the land of the rising sun, while the other 10% will be about myself ranting about something not in Japan such as HK films, some big thing going on in the Philippines or some interesting thing that went on for me. Not the best numbers, but eh. They’ll do.

I am not one of those people that goes out to give recaps of episodes because I don’t have the luxury of watching new anime at ease seeing that I pretty much have a real horrid computer. I might as well say that I don’t have the luxury of reading new manga either; thus, I don’t give recaps of manga volumes. Though I don’t have the luxury of trying out new games and by new, I mean up to date games in Japan, I can give details.

Though I do have a diary on my personal site as well as one on my fan duo site, this diary will get attention also. It may not get as much attention as those two in the long run, but it will get some. I can’t give you a dead on frequency rate in regards of entries, but I can tell you that I’ll try to place up an entry when I have time. If you want a frequency rate, it’ll most likely be 2 entries a week.

If you want me to link to your site, either e-mail me or show me that you already placed up a link to the front page of this site on your site. You are free to link to this site as long you link to the front page. You can link to a certain entry only if you’re trying to show some agreement in an arguement or if you’re doing a task like that. Feel free to use the (plain) tag I have at the top of the page if you wish just as long as you upload it to your own server.

Images: most of these images are screencaps or images from the usual places like Sagubooru. Please don’t place up direct links of the images posted. If you would like to use any of the images, please contact me first and ask for permission. I will most likely give you the nod, unless I end up doing something like being humiliated by Vega.

In case that happens, I’ll end up yelling at you “Nakabe, sakabe soshite shine!” afterwards and you will be thrown off Geese’s tower. You’ll be lucky if you end up landing on Jinnai. Of course, that laugh of his will still irritate you.

Don’t be scared of placing up a message. I read the comments and questions and I try to respond. I do make mistakes, especially since I have horrible sleep habits and I do get steamed usually because I don’t get enough sleep. If I were a black mage, I’d easily cast Sleep on myself. I’m not going to bother telling about ethics because I’m sure you already know what I’m going to say. If English isn’t your first language, e-mail the comment first.

I guess that’s it. Hee hee! Yoroshiku onegai shimasu. (I so should stop these spurts of random Japanese and start another diary in Japanese.)
